I'm a somewhat neurotic introvert who prefers routine, I'm extremely organized and goal-directed and I am also too trusting, kind and cooperative. Well, according to a pretty accurate personality test measuring the Big 5 Personality Traits.
Buuut, back to my BIO...
Question: What is the fastest way to turn into a mute? Answer: "So... tell us more about yourself..."
After staring at the screen for most of the week I figured it's time to write my bio. Now, I'm no writer, it took me days to find a suitable subject for school essays! Well, until I turned to my best friend, mentor, health adviser and psychologist instead... Google! But this is no job for Google, so here goes....
I'm a South-African Psychology and Exercise Science student. I received my Psychology degree in 2015 and am taking 2 years off to study Exercise Science before I do my Honors & Masters in Psychology. I am a qualified Personal Trainer / Sports conditioning coach and am busy completing my Exercise Specialist course to assist clients with injuries or abnormalities.
My weight loss journey started in 2010 during my matric year. I first set foot in the gym during February of 2011, I fell in love with the weight-room as soon as I touched the dumbbells!
I'm also a self-taught amateur Graphic Designer and a self-proclaimed dessert connoisseur. I love traveling (mostly to the fridge, joke.. okay, maybe I'm serious...), I love nature, I love delicious food (especially when it's free), I love sugary sweets, I love my dogs (the purposefully named Labrador Fudge, but also Whiskey and Snowie), I love lifting heavy ass weights and I lov-.. LOATHE cardio... I also suffer from Scoliosis. I'm socially awkward, introverted, emphatic, extremely honest, very humble... and aware that this is not a dating site.
This is my personal website for sharing my roller coaster ride of eating disorders (that I've finally overcome in Dec 2014/Jan 2015): some Anorexia, past Bulimia, most recent Orthorexia and Binge eating, and achieving balance and mental health in my life, as well as achieving my fitness goals- AGAIN, in a healthy way. My goal is to get lean again when necessary, but probably highly unlikely haha, but if I do, I'll do it this time by eating more food, both in volume and variety. Not only am I here to hold myself accountable and to find support, but also to help others by sharing what I know and have learned through years of (contradicting) research. "Gaining knowledge is the first step to wisdom. Sharing it, is the first step to humanity."
