Strawberry Flavoured Sorbet

RECIPE:                Makes 1 Big Bowl Serving

Ingredients:
  • 200 g Strawberries
  • 180 g Plain Low Fat Yoghurt (opt for fat free to reduce fat content)
  • 5 ml Unsweetened Lemon Juice
  • 10 g / 1 full Teaspoon Honey

Method:
  1. Prepare the strawberries (wash, cut stems off, cut into pieces)
  2. Freeze the strawberries until frozen
  3. Blend the strawberries in a blender
  4. Add in the honey and lemon juice
  5. Dump in or add the yoghurt gradually
  6. Freeze again if it is too runny
  7. Serve while it is still frozen

Notes:

  • Make it lower carbs by substituting the honey for sweetener
  • Use fat free yoghurt to lower fat content or use Greek yoghurt to increase the protein
  • The texture will depend on the type of yoghurt you use
  • Adjust the ingredients until you find the perfect taste and texture
